Green by Ted Dekker

Green: The Beginning and the End
by: Ted Dekker
Thomas Nelson
ISBN: 9781595542885
Audience: Older teens to Adult

Having not read any of the series, I was shocked at how easy it was to get plugged into the narrative of this book. The story flowed amazingly and caught the reader up into it right away!

Here's a quick look:

Thomas Hunter fell asleep in our world in our time, and woke up 2000 years into the future, well after the Apocalypse had destroyed Earth. Thomas' group, the Circle, as well as his son, are no longer completely faithful to their god, Elyon. Thomas is heartbroken and discovers he must find a way to save the world from another Apocalypse. He must trust Elyon and allow his son to follow his own heart, while Thomas makes the difficult decision to leave the Circle to save them all.

This was my 4th Ted Dekker novel, and will probably not be my last because he continues to pump out great stories!. I was a little nervous to read the last book in the series, and read it as the first. I had no idea what to expect with this book, Ted did a great job of making it all make sense for a new comer to the series!

This book reminded me a ton of the Bible and in particular the story of David. David had to fight against a ton of odds similar to Thomas Hunter in this book, he also had to deal with obstinant children just like Thomas. This book has great Christian themes and amazing story telling!

Thanks Thomas Nelson for another GREAT free book to check out from your blogger review program!
